Fr. Everardo Mora-Torres, aka Padre Lalo, 37, was ordained for the Diocese of Biloxi on July 15 th , 2015 by Bishop Roger P. Morin in Zitácuaro, Michoacán, México at the Marian Shrine of Our Lady of Remedies.
Father Lalo is the second of four children, three boys and one girl. All his family and relatives remain living in his home town called Angangueo, Michoacán, México.
He served his internship as a seminarian at Our Lady of Victories in Pascagoula with the Very Rev. Tony Arguelles, VF; he did his CPE training in Jackson, MS at the VA Hospital; and as a deacon at Immaculate Conception Parish in Laurel with Rev. Msgr. Michael Thornton.
He was the associate pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Biloxi with Rev. Fr. Henry McInerney and Rev. Fr. Thom White. He was the associate pastor of Sacred Heart in Hattiesburg with Rev. Fr. Ken Ramón-Landry, Deacon Warren Goff and Deacon Randy Duke.
Fr. Lalo got his Master of Divinity at Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans, LA. He studied Minor-Seminary(Highschool), Philosophy and Theology in the Diocesan Seminary of Morelia which is located in the city of Morelia, Michoacán, México.
