Good morning. Another beautiful day has been given to us by the Lord. So much good has happened since yesterday that it needs to be shared. If you missed mass at Sacred Heart yesterday then you are unaware that the 2021 iGiveCatholic campaign kicked off at 12:01 am this morning and will run through midnight on Nov 30th, 2021. Father Lalo has set our goal at $10,000 this year and we are already well on the way. Yesterday, I announced that Mary Anne and I would match the first $250 donated, which Father Lalo accepted from someone yesterday afternoon. So that gives us $500 toward our goal. We also challenged anyone in the parish to match our match. Since then we have heard from 5 parish members who have agreed to match us for a total of $1250. So between that and the original $500 we are already at $1750 just seven and a half hours after the campaign began. As always, Sacred Heart has shown it's generousity. There are several ways that you can donate to the iGiveCatholic campaign. You can go online to www.givegab.com and contribute or if you would prefer to donate locally, you can just write a check and turn it in to the parish office or place it in the Sunday collection basket. If you write a check, make it payable to Sacred Heart and on the memo line write iiGiveCatholic. If you would like to issue a challenge for the campaign, you can call Juli in the parish office at 228-762-1837, Melanie Martin at 228-326-2016 or myself, Johnny Beard at 228-990-7292. Tell us who you are challenging and we will post it daily on the parish website and here on the parish FB page. Remember that your donation is tax deductable and that 100% of your donation comes directly to Sacred Heart Parish. One more thing, we are also doing "Coins for the Cause" again this year. Let's fill that jar up with your loose change. Last tear we collected over $1300 in change. We would really like to do better than that this year, so clean out the cup holders in your vehicle, gather up the coins you have on the dresser in your home and drop them in the jar at the front of the church. We will be back daily with an update of where we are. Please keep the campaign in your prayers that God will continue to bless us as we continue this fundraiser. May God bless and keep you and yours until we met again tomorrow. have a woderful day, Johnny.
